Airport of Guayaquil is awarded Airport Carbon Accreditation

Airports Council International (ACI) announced that the Airport of Guayaquil is the first in Ecuador, in the 2 to 5 million passenger/year category, to obtain the ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation at the level of MAPPING. This means that the airport has established calculation of its yearly carbon emissions, in order to achieve sustainable growth and lower carbon emissions.

With our airport, together with Colombia's El Dorado International Airport, now accredited, there's now 6 airports in the region that set their goal of lowering their carbon emissions.
