Airport of Guayaquil awarded again

05/05/2015 - The ACI (Airports Council International) awarded the Airport of Guayaquil in a ceremony to celebrate its Airport Quality of Service (ASQ) Program. This is a poll made to airport users every three months across all participant airports. The ASQ Program's goal is to evaluate passenger appreciation and satisfaction for the entire airport process considering 34 service indicators such as: access, check in, security, facilities, shops and restaurants, and many more.

José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport, in the city of Guayaquil, received the awards for Best Airport in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the Best in the World in the 2-5 million passenger range category.

Best Airport in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region:

  1. Airport of Guayaquil
  2. Airport of Quito
  3. Airport of Cancún

Best Airport in the 2 to 5 million passenger category:

  1. Airport of Guayaquil
  2. Airport of Mauritius
  3. Airport of Ottawa

It is important to mention that Guayaquil's Airport has also been awarded by the World Airport Awards for the fourth year in a row as the Best Regional Airport in South America. This awards are determined by users regarding quality of services offered by the airport.

  2. Airport of Recife
  3. Airport of Buenos Aires
