Guayaquil's Airport inaugurates new Cargo Platform

Today, in the presence of the Mayor of Guayaquil, Abogado Jaime Nebot, TAGSA (airport manager and operator) did the formal inauguration of the new Cargo Terminal's Platform.

Ángel Córdova, General Manager at TAGSA, stated "TAGSA together with Autoridad Aeroportuaria de Guayaquil present this new site, the Cargo Platform, which will benefit the city of Guayaquil, improving the development of a city that thrives for those who live in it.

The 50.000m2 platform features 8 parking sports with capacity for up to 16 C class airplanes, hydrant system for faster and better fueling, and a modern rain water drainage system. This was all built complying with the rules given by the Dirección General de Aviación Civil (DGAC) and the Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional (OACI).

Nearly 5 million dollars were invested in this proyect, construction took 10 months and required about 100 people.
