We improved our carbon footprint
15/11/2022 - The Airports Council International (ACI) has granted us a new level in our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, achieving "OPTIMISATION" category in heir "Airport Carbon Accreditation" program.
Strong work, coordinated by our "Workplace and Environmental Security" and Maintenance departments have ensured the highest levels of control have been upheld airport-wide.
We will uphold our commitment to the environment to make a better world for our users, and continue working to achieve further levels of accreditation.
Additionally, in December we got an SGS certificate analyzing our handling of equivalent carbon dioxide (CO2e). The results certify that we are in accordance with the ISO 14064-1:2018 norms plus within the parameters established by the Zero Carbon Ecuador Program PECC.
