Guayaquil Airport Honored Once Again
The Airports Council International (ACI) presented Guayaquil Airport with the award earned this year as part of the 2014 Airport Service Quality Program (ASQ). This survey is conducted every three months throughout the year among participating airports worldwide. The ASQ Program aims to assess passenger satisfaction during the entire airport experience, considering 34 service indicators, including access, check-in, security, terminal facilities, retail and dining options, among others.
The José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport in Guayaquil has been ranked as the Best Airport in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the Best in the World in the category of airports handling 2 to 5 million passengers.

- Cancún Airport
Best Airport in the World (2 to 5 million passengers category):
- Guayaquil Airport
- Mauritius Airport
- Ottawa Airport
It is also important to highlight that Guayaquil Airport was awarded by the World Airport Awards for the fourth consecutive year as the Best Regional Airport in South America. These awards are based on passenger feedback regarding the quality of services provided within the airport.
