Guayaquil Airport Wins ACI ASQ Award Again
The Airports Council International (ACI) has once again granted Guayaquil Airport the "Airport Service Quality" (ASQ) award as the Best Airport in its category and region (2 to 5 million annual passengers, Latin America and the Caribbean). This award is based on surveys conducted throughout the year with airport users, and given that 2020 was such a challenging year, we are proud to have maintained a service that our passengers recognize and value.
“The ACI ASQ Awards represent the highest honor for airport operators worldwide,” said ACI Director General Luis Felipe de Oliveira. “This year more than ever, these awards recognize airports that have listened to their passengers and adapted services and experiences to meet expectations under very difficult circumstances.”
In early September, in Montreal, the Airports Council International held its annual "Airport Service Quality 2020" awards ceremony, honoring the best airports whose service and quality practices stand out internationally.
These awards were once again earned by Guayaquil and Quito airports, raising Ecuador's name high and signaling undeniable progress and commitment to the country's tourism. José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport and Mariscal Sucre Airport were recognized as the best airports in Latin America in the categories of two to five million passengers and five to fifteen million passengers per year, respectively.
This achievement reaffirms the ongoing commitment of Guayaquil Airport and its operator, Tagsa, to serving passengers and visitors. We remain focused on delivering a high-quality experience with the highest safety standards, emphasizing technological innovation and warm, human-centered service. Tagsa congratulates Quiport and its President, Ramón Miro, for the accomplishments achieved for the benefit of all.
